Advantages and Weaknesses Problem-Based Learning Model 
As a model of learning, problem-based learning models have several advantages, including: 
1. Problem solving is a pretty good technique for better understanding the subject matter. 
2. Problem solving can challenge learners' abilities and provide satisfaction to determine new knowledge for learners.
3.  Problem solving can improve the learning activities of learners.
4.  Problem solving can help learners how to transfer their knowledge to understand real-life problems.
5. Problem solving can help learners to develop new knowledge and be responsible in their learning
6.  Through problem solving is considered more fun and well liked learners.
7.  Problem solving can develop students' ability to think critically and develop their ability to adapt to new knowledge.
8.  Problem solving can provide learners with the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have in the real world.
9.  Problem solving can develop the interest of learners to continuously learn.From the above description can be concluded that the problem-based learning strategy must begin with the awareness of the problem to be solved. At this stage the teacher guides the learners to the awareness of the gaps or gaps felt by humans or the social environment. Ability to be achieved by learners, at this stage is the learners can determine or capture the gaps that occur from various phenomena that exist. 
Besides its advantages, this model also has weaknesses, namely:

1. When learners have no interest or no belief that the problem learned is difficult to solve, then they will feel reluctant to try.
2.  The success of a learning strategy through problem solving requires sufficient time for preparation.
